Optimal AC power cable length

So, assuming AC cables matter, is there an optimal length for one? Is the shortest length that gets you to the outlet without strain always the best? Obviously in the limiting case that would say zero length is best but presumably if it is part of the electrical system there must be a sweet spot (i.e., you need something there to have an effect). Or do people simply tend to pick 1.5 to 2 m because they are worried they may move the rack and want options later even if it’s not needed and you may create a nest of AC loops behind the rack.

Wireworld is very explicit that the filtering effects of their cords aren’t maximally effective unless you use at least a 2 meter length.

Does anyone recall if PS Audio made similar statements before they got out of the cable business?
