P10 Fuse?

The P10 manual specifies a T250 5A Type H fuse. Unfortunately, NOBODY (even did a search on fuse-only site) specifies fuses this way. So, what is an appropriate replacement?

250V 5A fast blow

250V 5A slow blow

I want to buy a CHEAP fuse to install (in case there’s a fault in the P10), before I buy a new SR fuse. Part of my problem is that I don’t remember what value HFT fuse I bought some 8-10 years ago, and I can’t find the stock fuse it replaced.

Help!

The “T” is a slow blow fuse. The only thing you need to know from here is the size. Is it the smaller size or the larger size fuse. Since the DAC takes the smaller size I am guessing that the P10 takes the same but that is only a guess.

yes, regarding physical fuse size it’s the same in P10 as in DAC (it’s the most common small type one)

Hi Jah,

I went through this just last week. Definitely the fuse is 5x20mm (also called small) 250v 5 Amp T(which means slow blow).

I did change the fuse for the P10 to the SR Black but also want to change fuses in my integrated amp, but it takes 6!

So I have been researching and found the AMR Gold fuse for $15 a pop. Not sure if this is allowed (this is my third post here) but the site was called tweekgeek.com (apparently somewhere in Colorado)

I have not ordered from them yet so I have no idea about their service but they carry the AMR fuse. The research I did into the AMR fuse seems to suggest that it is at least an upgrade over the industry standard glass fuses, but many people speak well about it. The P10 had a nicer fuse than typical glass in it already.

Hope this helps a bit!
