P20 Beta testing 0122

email PSA

03/31/19 - 0900 - display has not changed from the meter display, has not blinked, and has not cycled the preamp zone ON/OFF. I have also been exercising the remote and display interaction. Very smooth, no issues. Ethernet still plugged into the P20.

Plus 1 here…

I will work on getting this up online this afternoon or you can email remind me and I’ll send it to you.

04/01/19 - 0700 - Not an April Fools Day joke - display has not changed from the meter display, has not blinked, and has not cycled the preamp zone ON/OFF. I have also been exercising the remote and display interaction. Very smooth, no issues. Ethernet still plugged into the P20.

01.22 firmeware

I will now go to once a week feedback.

Hi Paul,

Is the P15 susceptible to the same failure mode addressed in this release?

Does this update also apply to the P15 or is this specific to the P20?

My P20s and P15 come on Friday, just want to make sure I am prepared.

Thanks,

Tony

I’m waiting to see if the P15 is affected as well. I have had mine now for over 2 weeks and it has had no issues. I don’t have the network cable on. I usually keep the screen off too. I use the remote to see status and haven’t had any issues.

Howdy Tony,

The P15 has the same bug, and the same fix applies. We’ll be rolling out new firmware to address this and a couple other bugs (you can see the thread regarding the P15 meter for an example of what we’re addressing) this week.

Thanks!

Do the P20/P15 still have the limitation of only being compatible with 2Gb SD cards?

Also, I was looking in the manual it doesn’t appear there is an update procedure outlined. Is it as simple as putting the SD card in and cold booting?

-Tony

The limitation is slightly more reasonable now. We use 4 GB cards now, though up to 16 GB should still work just fine. If you run into any trouble or can’t find an appropriate card, just give us a call or email me and we can get one heading your way

As for the update procedure, this video covers it. It’s not the right product, but the procedure stays the same.

So which number are we looking at to see firmware?

@Veneet - 01.22 FW version (new)

Right, but which screen do we look at to find that out?

Under Setup - It is your main…
So, you can change the following firmware (loads): the bootloader, main coding, power meter, and oscillator coding… the one you will change will be the main coding

Awesome, that is what I needed. Thank you!

@Veneet - BAM! Picture worth 1,000 words and off you go… cause at the end of the day, it gets dark…
