P20 freezing up again?

Hmm. My only issues with the P20 are an audible
hum at the unit but not noticeable at the listening position. The other is that the display will come on by its self occasionally when I go back into the room the next day. No settings or connections have been altered. No real complaints here.

Do you have any outlets off ever? Try turning one off (red) from the front and see if it starts trying to turn it on and off. I would be curious.

Well, that is the same problem. It has to do with the new display @Paul was talking about earlier. Mine started with changing display’s as if some ghost was touching it…

Ok, I will…

I would turn off whatever is connected to the outlet it turned my subs on and off for hours

That is bad @Veneet…! This has to be solved quickly… My amps will never ever survive that. But then again, I always leave 'm on, day & night, year in year out…

And you have a lot of amps!!

This just happened to me this morning; really weird… 1st time… exactly that; I did not need to reset the P20, just touched the screen and it went back to business. No issue all day so far (6hrs)… Will keep an eye on it. The bad news is the circuit is the BHK Preamp. Do not want that happening. I don’t know how many times it cycled during the night either. If it happens again I will let you know and also remove gear from that circuit.

This is the first issue w/ P20 since buying it in May, 2018

Definitely do keep us in the loop. It is interesting that yours is from May 2018 and this just happened. Did you just switch to 20A? I know you were getting the Shunyata cable. I have been using mine in 20A

Yes, just switched to 20A days ago. Never happened with 15A. Yeah, seeing the BHK Preamp cycling was like WTF! ran over touched the P20 screen to see what circuit the BHK Preamp was on and it stopped…

I am in Europe, don’t have that 15/20A option…

Now that is interesting indeed! hopefully @JeremyBe or (I cant find Mark with the @ sign) can maybe have the engineers trace that as a possible cause.

Yeah, got the electrician coming in for the 20A circuit THU… sux…

nope, I had a 20A circuit before and 2 more put in

OK, just seeing information we can give to Jeremy…

do you have the Ethernet hooked up, I do…

Yup, I do have the ethernet hooked up

I’m pulling mine off… what is the point if you are not controlling the PSA P20 by internet and PSA does not support data right now… something weird might have happened remotely (Ethernet) and the front panel might have reset an external command… ???

Oh, well that is interesting then, maybe not the issue then… It cant be load either, as I only have very little hooked up since my amp at the manufacturer for a check

Have you guys noticed the lack of a sine on my pics…? Is that what you have also…?
