P5 Fan Noise

Sorry if this question has been asked before, I’m new to this forum. How audible is the cooling fan on the P5 when it is running?

If normal it doesn’t run. When it gets warm enough to run it’s typically silent. Only under the hottest conditions does the fan get going loud enough to hear it and then it’s not bad. Likely you’ll never hear it.

Ok thanks. I have an egregious amount of distortion that entered my powerline last week and is continuous 24/7. The situation has made vinyl listening intolerable. I have measured THD of 7-9% depending on time of day. This is way beyond the IEEE 519 standard of 3% THD for sensitive equipment. I am waiting for an explanation from the SDG&E district engineer. Will the P5 be able to clean this up to less than 3% ? The max requirement of my system is about 350w.

It should easily get it under 3%.

As Elk says, by all means, you should see far less than 1% THD, depending on the load, probably under 1/2%.

3% is rather normal, actually.

It should easily better 3% even with that load.
