Yes, indeed.
IDK if you saw this on the forum marketplace. IMO he is giving it away. Depending the rest of your system this could be a fine alternative to the Parasound JC1.
I think he’s in the UK or so his profile says.
Good to know…
So far I had a pair of Cambridge Audio 840W monoblocks, Sorry Paul B&W 805 d2. But I already sold it about 2 years ago. So you could say that now I have equipment for background listening. I also have a Snell E2 that I will never sell. But the intention is to build the entire system from scratch. The idea is to buy a good amplifier + speakers and in the future only change the DAC and PRE. I really like the Moonriver 404, especially with these Snells, but it ruined my idea of building a system from separate components. The plan was to use PS AUDIO GCD + S300. But the m700 appeared. So I’ve already lost interest in the GCD +S300. Such a funny story - which I would like to end because it may have no end
But I guess I’m not alone when it comes to the process of choosing equipment.
Hey urban…
Just a thought …scrub the idea of purchasing usedJC1s which may
be about the same price as a JC5, id $$ is a consideration why not
get the JC5…new which will be a sonic improvement over the origiginal
JC1s, and with new warranty…
Best wishes in your hi fi journey

Basically it’s 3,500 Euro… And new JC5 in Europe costs about 9,500 Euro…
Ouch…was not aware of the Euro price for JC5…
Best wishes in your audio journery.
I’d consider myself fortunate to have found an integrated amplifier, such as the Moonriver 404, that partners well with my Snell E2 speakers. Especially considering it falls within your price range. Its all about synergy IME.
He gives a New York City zip code.
And that amp is magnificent.
I agree with your opinion of that amp as well. The Parasound JC1 is a fine amp in its own right, the Pass Labs is special to these ears in comparison. It just depends on partnering speakers.
Hey urban…
Thought just came to me…look for a used JC5…price used may be a better
value than the JC1 as the JC5 as more uptodate design and components…
Best wishes in your audio journey
