So my wife occasionally winds up getting stuff on her smartphone resulting from stuff I look at on mine (good thing I’m an old coot who just looks at audio stuff! :joy:). Anyway, knowing a lot about our audio gear (we listen together and she’s met @Paul at shows), she remarks this morning during coffee “do you know about this?” It’s a video of Paul talking about the importance of power and the Stellar P3. How she got it is anybody’s guess through the frighteningly invasive wonders of the Web. I said “I know about the P3. It’s a smaller version of what we have.” She asked “ how come I got this?”

My answer was “Because everybody loves Paul!” :smile:

You both need to check both your phone’s privacy and security settings.
Your phone listens to you via the microphone and can target you with ads for things you talk about.
Plenty of Youtube videos to help you do this.

My wife used to get ads for things we talked about, usually within a few hours.
I’ve ‘reviewed’ her security and privacy settings and she no longer receives them.
It also reduced the number of ‘clickbait’ stories she used to get.
