Amgradmd, after 17 years of watching products on Audiogon, it occurs to me highend hifi gear is similar to highend cars with respect to resale value. Both depreciate approximately 50% in two years with a few notable exceptions. Getting a discount pushes the pricing scale down a little but not a lot. A new $5k item discounted down to $3k is stil worth more than $1500 in two years. Probably around $2k in the case of a P10 which actually puts you ahead of the usual resale value situation.
My background is automotive and can tell you even with PSA discounts you are still better off than a new car customer who buys a $50k car for $40k with $10k incentive. The resale of that car is doomed from the start. Even worse is a $150k exotic car worth $75k two years later.
