Just had a chance to look at my PST. I am on 2.4.2 and am still getting the power shut down issue.
FYI. “Hissing” was a bug. There was a fix in FW 2.1.6 (see release note below.). This fix pretty much eliminated this bug, but it still occurs occasionally when I main power up my PST. Main power cycle again usually fix it.

Description
Incremental updates for unit lockups and occasional hissing on power up. This load will update the FPGA to version 1.7, which includes audio improvements to prevent hissing on initial power up.
