Rachel Carson wrote about pesticides around 1960 in her book Silent Spring. She was a bell-weather for other stuff, too.
This isn’t a forum to express political opinions and I apologize if I’ve broken the rules. Some of us from the 60s, though, continue to hang on.

I have experienced very bad weather and have sailed 10 days in 54 second meters. There were several waves that were over 25 meters.
