Female Dark-eyed Junco perched neatly along the fence line—soft colors, steady gaze, and quiet confidence in the winter light.

All birds, including lowly sparrows, are gorgeous when you get up close and can appreciate how pretty they are.
I agree—getting close really changes your perspective. Even the most common birds reveal incredible beauty and detail when you take the time to look. Same for all backyard critters.
