@FRO I am curious about the general workflow for your images. Do you shoot multiple brackets? Tonemapping? Which product set you use?

Hey Rob -

I don’t really have a particular shooting method. I always shoot Manual setting and spot metering.

If the scene is contrasty, I will shoot triple shot HDR exposures. Sometimes for panoramas I will stitch several portrait shots together in Lightroom or PTGui.

I usually post process through Lightroom, then Photoshop and Topaz sharpening.

My astrophotography madness continues. This is M51 Whirlpool Galaxy about 31 million light-years from earth and about 76,000 light-years in diameter! I think that smaller object above is an “interacting galaxy”.

Total exposure >13 hours taken over three nights.
