Please. We Need Some Classical Music From Octave Records!

Hi @JessicaCarson.
When might we get some Classical music from OR?

Like this piece from AudiophileMasters-Volume1, (beautiful!): 10 - Yumi Hwang-Williams- violin Magee Capsouto- violin Lauren - Milanese Quartet No. 6 in B flat major KV 159 2nd movement.

I know that there are the classical solo guitarist albums, Ana Vidović, Live at Hampden Hall, but not really my cup of tea.

Thanks!
B.

Perhaps this is something we can do in our Audiophile Masters series. I will keep it on my wishlist and see what we can do

Come on, Jessica!
We all know that you can do better than just a wish.
Pretty please, with sugar on top!

I’m pretty good at turning my wishes into reality

Okay, then!
Patiently waiting to see. And then hear! :sunglasses:

It would be interesting to hear Octave Records record a large orchestra or opera.

Many of the best orchestras in the USA have in-house labels and I assume negotiations with conductors, orchestra unions and organization leadership could burn a lot of time and money.

Maybe it’s simpler than I think.

OR does take their rig on the road…
But it seems that they would need to, “get out of Denver, better, go, go…”
An orchestra or opera might be too ambitious.
I would be happy with a chamber orchestra.

Perhaps quartets or trios.

Perhaps up to an octet, but only small chamber groups are reasonable for this label and its resources.

I vote for a brass quintet (brass equivalent of a string quartet.

Pop over to the UK - still some Colliery Brass Bands playing (even if the Collieries are closed)!

They are wonderful!

Incredibly musicians and a wonderful tradition.

I have played a good deal of the literature, not easy stuff.

I am not alone…

Start small? A Chamber Orchestra?
As mentioned above, there was such a track on AudiophileMasters-Volume1.

For my tastes, hoping to hear more than a solo musician, or just a duet…
And, an entire album as opposed to just one or two tracks.

I know a good friend sent me a private excerpt of the Saint Saens Symphony no 3, and said it would take at least £5.5000 to release the whole performance, plus I presume the SACD duplication costs (A DSD 5.1 recording as well)
