Ok, I think this should be the fix everyone’s waited for.
We just released firmware version 2.8.2, which fixes the display issue. Yay! This is in our downloads, and be sure to unzip the file, add it to a USB stick, and recycle the power switch on the rear of the unit.
Good news is worth repeating
My upgrade steps to Roon Ready.
Roon showed the PMG DAC under Roon Ready, but with a note that it is Uncertified.
I clicked on Enable and got the following message.
The DAC now shows under Roon Ready with the DAC 512 icon and I was able to enable and use it. It showed the correct resolution for tracks from 44.1k to DSD256.
The previous entry for PS Audio Extended Res USB is no longer there, but PMG DAC Streamer for airplay is still there.
Not fixed (yet): The loss of the Streamer resolution display if you switch to Optical and then back to Streamer.
Conclusion: You need to update BOTH the Streamer firmware and the DAC firmware to get Roon Ready working.
BTW: The display now shows F1 to the left of the Gear setting icon, indicating filter 1.
