Yeah what they say and what works this nearly may differ.
but exactly my point. If someone has Jriver working the. It may point ps audio in right direction. If both don’t work it also helps them. The more data the faster it’s fixed.
JRiver and the PS DS DAC Sr. with the Bridge do play nicely together almost all the time. That having been said, sometimes JRiver doesn’t “see” the DAC but if I treboot the DAC then it’s fine afterwards. There are also two settings under DLNA Controller Options that have to be selected in order for the DAC and JRiver to interact smoothly: Ignore Transport Events and the other is Disable SetNext Support.
Obviously this isn’t the same set-up as the PMG Signature 512 DAC but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Thanks but these settings didn’t solve anything for me playing dsf on Jriver over dlna to the dac.
Yippee!
With the latest (d2261a) streamer firmware, I can finally stream DSF files, including DSD256, without issue. The combination of a new renderer (upMPD) and programmer/streamer guy Peter Grinwald seems to have done the trick. I presume DoP continues to play as well, but I’m selfishly not interested in testing it out. Maybe the Foobar2000 guys will.
Thanks, Peter!

Thanks, That’s something I’ve been meaning to try.
The latest firmware it rebooted and I rebooted again not roon. So I turned streamer off and then on. That fixed it. Still no roon certification ![]()
Now that Peter’s on board, hopefully whatever’s holding up Roon certification on the 512 can be quickly rectified.
There are still too many major—i.e., >0—unfinished and unsettled issues than should be the case on a released product in any price category, let alone on what most, or all, non-audiophiles would certainly think of as an expensive, boutique item. Heck, that’s how I think of all of my equipment, if I’m honest. These sorts of products are generally expected to be nearly perfect, as they should be.
I know that PS Audio continues to work on having the DAC software match what’s advertised, and it may soon get there, but I expect this is a lesson that the gentleman for whom the DAC is named has taken to heart. A heartfelt “Mea culpa; I acknowledge this should never have happened, and we’re updating our testing procedures to make sure it won’t happen again. Here’s what we’re working on, and here’s a timeframe for when they’ll be fixed.” would feel a lot better than “More fixes are coming soon. I’m not sure what’s holding up Roon certification.”

People at Roon might also be part of the delay problem, there are other companies who are still waiting for their products’ certification too.
Indeed, though it’d be nice if someone would say whether Roon is waiting for changes/fixes from PS Audio, or if PS Audio is simply waiting for Roon’s blessing. There are also, of course, the several reported issues with the display still outstanding with fixes promised and being tested, and a request and discussion Suggestion for PMG 512 display layout for improving the display’s layout.
— Chris
If I were Roon, I wouldn’t certify any product until that product was itself running as it should… so perhaps the PMG DAC software updates from the PSA side are the only thing holding up certification.
Hi Chris could you let me know how you got Minimserver/JPLAY connected to the PMG? I am able to stream to the Airlens with JPLAY from Minimserver but in streaming mode the DAC remains invisible in JPLAY and mConnect although the LAN connection is ok and streamer is running with a green dot.
Thanks for your suggestions!
@herman See your other thread…I just posted there.
Herman,
Are both the AirLens and the 512 DAC connected via Ethernet, or is one via Wi-Fi and the other via Ethernet? If the latter, I wonder if the AirLens/MinimServer network and the network to which the DAC is connected are on two different physical networks, or one is firewalled from the other.

Streaming happily from Foobar 2000 natively as far as I can make out from my DSF files. It correctly sees the DSD 128 and DSD 64 tracks I have. Slight strange behavior where it seems to choke sometimes on the end of some DSD 128 tracks - but other than that all good
