Hi all, I’m hoping for some help with my P1000. Lately, every time I turn my P1000 on, it trips my circuit breaker. I changed the fused thinking that might be the cause, but even that has not worked. Has anyone else had this issue, or have a recommendation on how to fix it?
Welcome!
Hope you are electrically hand as I give you 4:1 odds it’s the breaker. Do you have a heavy duty extension cord that would let you test it powered from a different outlet on a different breaker?
Has anything changed regarding the P1000 or what’s connected to it?
Hi George. It was that the circuit was overloaded. I plugged into a different outlet and the P1000 came to life. Now the challenge is going to be with cable management, but that is a lot less costly than repair or buying a new power plant. Thank you for checking in on me.
Yay. I’m glad you resolved the problem.
Still likely a faulty breaker tripping at two low a current pull. A 15 A breaker at 120 V is a load of 1800 W and that is a lot of plug in stuff. Of course, depends who wired and IF they followed code but all your kitchen should be on a dedicated 20 A breaker, refrigerator on its own circuit, and of course oven and electric cooktop on their own 220. After that, it’s tough to get to continuous 1800 W.
That is entirely possible. I have a lot of things plugged into that outlet, though.
Thank you, George.
