…Running on Octave SW and also enabling a Roon endpoint. The confusing thing is that the name Octave is used for the label, the upcoming server HW and the SW at the same time. Until the Octave streamer was named Airlens, it was even used for the Streamer HW, too.

I see your point. I have been thinking about the AirLens as if it’s a Sonore xxRendu. I may have oversimplified it.

I was expecting Octave SW would be a part of AirLens package too. For that reason, I have yet to subscribe to Roon, and my music files are getting harder to manage now. Paul was less thrilled about the Roon SQ being one of the reasons for Octave SW if my memory serves me right (less right lately).

It is a sad day to hear Octave SW is no more. Mcontrol HD app does not provide outstanding SQ streaming in my opinion. It is time to join the ROON crowd, I guess.

It is indeed a sad day, two brands I use/used both dropped their streaming software projects (Quad and Devialet), it’s a difficult and substantial undertaking. So The AirLens is what now, exactly? A digital transport? And the Octave server? I suspect people will want to know what the player softwar…

Yes, it would have been great but Octave SW is no longer. After 5 years of hard work and intense effort we threw in the towel. Sad day. Octave Streamer is alive and well and fixes the issue I have with Roon SQ.
