Interesting…I will try the awl. I have one in my shop.
Thanks for the suggestion.
You’re welcome.
Just a heads up. I recently put Isoacoustic Gaia Titan footers on my speakers. At $1800 for a set, they are the biggest bang for the buck upgrade I’ve ever made! Way more impactful than interconnects or speaker wires.
Hey Kyle, can you show me a photo of how your Crescendos look attached to the binding posts of the amp?
Thanks
Thanks Kyle. I did manage to get them in now, but not fully seated.
They have enough material in the binding post to work though.
Cheers
RsZk, try putting the banana in without the wire attached, then spin it as you push in. LOL.
I had the same trouble - an awl did the trick for me.
I am considering making the leap and buying some Maggie 20.7’s. I am running 300 BHK’s wiht the BHK Preamp. Are you still using your 20.7’s and are you still happy with them.
I am considering getting the 20.7’s. Interested if you still have them and are still satisfied with them.
Thank you for your input
Very much so. What are you moving from and how big is your room?
18ft wide by 28 ft deep with 8 ft ceilings. Currenlty have Monitor Audio Platinum 300II’s. The only concerned about the wall behind the speakers because it has windows. I have pleated blinds and also sound absorbers that I can put up to cover the glass.
In my opinion they are still the ones to beat. If you like imaging, clean bass lines and holographics with wonderful detail.
I can’t wait to see what PS Audio puts forth.
If I am honest what they have less of is dynamics compared to full size floor standers of very high quality, deep bass below 25-30 hertz.
I think you are in good shape really. Yah the glass is suspect but I think you will be able to do something w that. For what it’s worth everyone seems to recommend diffusion behind mags. I have yet tondo any diffusion but I have them 10’ out.
RsZk makes good points above as well. The room is going to determine a lot about the bass. I could have mine without a sub but I had a Martin Logan descent lying around that ohnly handles 25hz and below. If you lie soundstage and texture like I do you will love them and am pretty sure you won’t look back.
