PWT

#1

I purchased the PWT in mid October of 2015 and the DirectStream DAC on Dec. 9, 2015. My collection consist of around 3,400 CDs, including 110 SACDs. At the time of purchase,I had no idea that the the new PWT-2 was on the horizon; and I doubt the date of purchase will be considered in the trade-in allowance. Now I’m feeling like a real chump.

Welcome, cedrics

There is always something better around the corner, especially when it comes to consumer electronics. Your equipment is just as good now as when you purchased it.

When the new transport is released, contact PS Audio, and explain why you are entitled to special treatment.

Sounds like the PWT 2 is a year away, so there will be no problem getting some quality use out of your PWT.

cedrics, I certainly understand the feeling. But PSA does try to keep their customers happy, so do contact them when the PWT II comes out. Meanwhile, you’ve got two of the best-sounding pieces that exist and you should get a lot enjoyment from them. The SQ really is amazing.

An excellent point; release of the new unit is far from imminent.

Thanks for assisting me in revising my prospective on this issue (release of New PWT-2). I guess , we all would like the best for an extended period of time; however, that’s not the nature of the beast .

The trade in price will certainly apply to your PWT1. We'll make sure you're taken care of. No reason to feel badly.
