Appreciate the update, @Paul.
Iāve been a Qobuz subscriber for multiple years, and am looking forward to the AirLens being able to pick it up without any extra gadgets. Right now I have the Naim Audio Uniti Core, a great server but without streaming capability.
Looking forward to Qobuz Connect on AirLens. Munich is May 15-18.
Perhaps like many others here, Qobuz invited me to join their Qobuz Connect Beta Program. So, Iām on their waitlist.
I heard that Qobuz connect is now available ⦠have anyone tried it ?
However, I downloaded and installed the app ⦠AirLens (in fact all of endpoints) does not show up under the Network devices ..
As of early Tuesday morning, Eastern US time, the App Store shows āinitial release of Qobuz Connectā along with some screenshots. However, I canāt download anything except the older Qobuz app that has been out for a while. So Iām not sure whatās going on. Furthermore, I recall that Paul said the AirLens would need a firmware update to play with Qobuz connect.
Correct. The official launch is scheduled for the Munich HiFi show. I have been playing with the beta version and itās terrific! And yes, to work, the AirLens needs new firmware. Hang in there.
Compatible Qobuz Connect brands as of today.
Conversdigital listed (mconnect) not PS Audio.
Connect works directly from the Qobuz app. Very easy to use. Works on all of my devices with the exception of my AirLens. Just waiting for the firmware update. Itāll be an option for some people that arenāt hooked on Roon.
By āQobuz appā I assume you mean the same app that I have had on my iPad for some time. I opened this, but I cannot see anything about Qobuz connect. I can play music only to my iPad, not to the Airlens; I cannot find any way to specify what device to play to.
Do we need a firmware update from PS Audio, from Converse Digital/ mConnect, or both? I did the latter earlier today..
The current version of Qobuz that contains Connect is version 8 which was released yesterday. If you have updated the Qobuz version then you will need to wait for the updated version from Conversdigital if it has not been released yet. You may try going into mconnect and see if you can force an update. I donāt see any updates to their software since January in the App Store.
Iām using iOS v8.6.3.
Click on the device icon bottom left. Your available devices will then be visible. Once firmware is updated & installed, this is where youāll find your AirLens.
I have the Qobuz V.9 app now that supposedly supports PS Audio but still not seeing AirLens as an output option yet. Are the latest AirLens firmware updates that support it available yet?
That update has to come from Conversdigital.
I have version 9 of the Qobuz App on my iPad and version 4.4.5 of the Convers Digital software in the AirLens (updated via mConnect two days ago). What I see in the Qobuz App looks entirely different from the screenshot posted by @jschuds above.
Does anyone know what version of the Convers Digital firmware supports Qobuz Connect?
If youāve turned off both your iPad and AirLens and rebooted them and still donāt see that screen then the appropriate update has not been released. Completely rebooting the devices was recommended by the staff at both Lumin and Auralic. I had to do that with the G2.2 before it was recognized.
Thanks. I already rebooted the AirLens; will do the iPad tomorrow morning.
We have not released an update for the AirLens and Qobuz Connect yet.
Thx @paul, is there an ETA for the update?
Great question and yes, but embarrassingly, I donāt know it. Weāve gotten what we hope will be the final version of the firmware and we are testing it now. If it passes muster weāll launch right away. What I can say with some certainty is that itāll likely happen within a few weeks and certainly in May.
