It is good to see PS Audio listed on the Qobuz website under List of brands integrated into Qobuz Connect.
We be surfing on Qobuz Connect via Air lens with the latest streamer firmware update! See Support Downloads section.
Itâs working great, Paul. Thanks to you and the team. Been a long hard slog but well worth it.
Does location on planet earth matter for the update over the Internet? The airlens doesnât seem to find an update. Pushing the wps button lets the status light blinking orange for a few seconds and then immediately back to solid green. Tried it for both firmware and streamer update. Recycled/rebooted. The airlens is not visible in the qobuz app and yes I updated that app as well.
(Location Amsterdam)
It does take while to find the update as mentioned in the video on the Sale page
Good luck!
Try again. It was probably just a timing issue. Watch the video, and you should be good.
Will there be a similar update for Bridge II users?
Damn, It took 5 minutes to install (even with my mistakes), and it worked perfectly immediately, sounds great tooâŚMany Thanks âŚ
Good work PS Audio! The Qobuz app now sees the AirLens as an output device and works fine. You need to do both network and streamer firmware updates, as shown in the video.
No, the Bridge II wonât support it as we changed platforms when we built the AirLens.
Does the app only control music from Qobuz streaming or can it be used liked mconnect to access and play music stored on a NAS?
@VikingMaestro Only music from Qobuz.
Must AirLens be on WiFi, will ethernet connection work?
Yes, ethernet will work (according to the video directions, it is preferable). You can also use a flash drive. See the directions included with the firmware download.
Ethernet works
the video is for firmware update, not playback (specifically, an iPhone/iPad on WiFi and the AirLens using ethernet only)
a reference, Qobuz Connect on Airlens - #67 by dawkinsj
Paul, will Strata (original) with built-in WiiM streaming card work with QobuzConnect? If not, is the software patch going to happen? Currently running Qobuz through JPlay iOS app with a great experience. Jplay makes frequent software updates that improve performance and interface. I can get Qobuz iOS app to run the Strata, but believe itâs not acting only as a control app but in Airplay mode with poorer SQ. Thanks.
Performed the AirLens updates via dip switch with no issues. I referenced the AirLens Operating Manual, vA-7, page 9-10.
- Core Firmware v4.4.68
- AirLens Firmware v3.1.3
- Qobuz iOS App v9.0.0
Very pleased with Qobuz Connect.
I have the AirLens on Ethernet and iPad Pro M4 on WiFi 5. The response time is fast, and I couldnât get it to fail despite jumping around to different tracks.
Goodbye mconnectControl HD.
Thank you, @Paul and Team!!!
It took a couple of steps to get the firmware updated.
I followed the video instructions, and all the blinky lights did their thing (for both update modes/DIP switch 7 in both positions). Two power cycles later, Qobuz is still not showing the AirLens. I retried the update procedures again and it acted as though it had the newest firmware (returning to the solid green light after some brief red flashing).
Decided to fire up the mcontrol app to see the firmware version, and it told me there was an update available. Current version was 04.04.37, and update version was 04 04.68. I ran the update, power cycled, and now I have Qobuz Connect.
Mine is an early production version and far as I can remember, Iâd never updated the firmware. Although I possibly might have run an update using mcontrol in the past.
I verified itâs workingâŚand now Iâm spinning records.
