Mr. Oliver was a musician, as well as a comic. Fun reference on this forum. :+1:

An audiophile is someone who necessarily makes listening to music so complicated that no one but him/herself can get it to make a sound while it is turned on or bring it back to life after it is turned off.

This is why I invested in Control4. To save my wife from me.

Ha ha ha. I have C4 for the house controls and whole house audio AND a parallel system in the music room (AVR, subs, speakers, CD, streamer) for her and kids to use.

I did get a request from my daughter to teach her how to fire up the proper system. I’ll confess I have spent hours listening to Taylor Swift and others with her and her friends.

Speaking of C4 my audio matrix blew something and it’s injecting a rumbling frequency. C4 says they don’t fix only replace. I’m thinking of bringing it to a local technician (that has worked on my amps)

You are a good soul.

I’ve had to replace a few bits and pieces over the years because of failure. There’s not a lot of serviceable parts in their gear. It’s mostly a board or two.

“If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music … I cannot tell if I would have done any creative work of importance in music, but I do know that I get most joy in life out of my violin.”

When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.
