Rest in Peace David Crosby

Neil wrote a lovely message on his website.

Graham Nash also had a lovely post:

Stephen Stills gave his quote to Rolling Stone - I love the ā€œleft us numb skullsā€

Finally, Chris Hillman took to Facebook

Just a song, before I go…

I listened to ā€œIf Only I Could Remember My Nameā€ today.
I am so sad we lost him!!!

I love this photo:

I don’t exactly know why his passing makes me feel so old, I’m really not old. I suppose it’s the reminder of mortality.

I’m younger than him by a bunch, but he is one who defines our generation. When Willie Nelson and Dylan go, we’ll hear the knocking at the door.

And then there is Keith Richards . . .

I had a chance to listen to HD tracks on Qobuz from the 4-disk release of the deluxe edition of Deja Vu, which included a mix of outtakes and demo tracks along with the main tracks from the album. Some of the demos weren’t all that special, but I really liked the demo versions of ā€œAlmost Cut My Hairā€ and ā€œTriad.ā€ Those tracks captured a quieter, personal side of David Crosby that doesn’t always stand out in some of the more aggressive performances.

Right now, I’m picturing Crosby on a large wooden sailboat, sailing off to sea with a steady breeze, calm seas, soft sunlight, and a wide small on his face. RIP
