A great great musician. I always wished he would have taken better care of himself.
I’m crushed. One of the greatest B3 sets I’ve ever heard or ever will was his at the Chicago Jazz Festival. I will never forget it, or him. RIP Joey. We’ve lost one of the most dynamic voices in Jazz at way too young an age.
