The major point of the post was about the hard, dip switch, settings in the ultraDigital.
The opticalRendu will easily pass native DSD but I don’t think the Directstream will take native DSD through USB. I did pass native DSD through the opticalRendu to the Matrix and then Directstream using I2S. Ironically, the ultraDigital converts to DoP….oh well.

Just in case there’s a misunderstanding there’s no loss of information with DoP compared to native DSD. The DAC sees the same exact DSD bits either way.

Thanks! Agree about DoP; however, I did get it to accept native DSD. Everything works. Love Sonore’s products. Fiber is the airgap or whatever PSA calls it.
I see the same except mine is over I2S using the Matrix SPDIF in-between.
I just installed SONORE UD between my SoTM SMS200 ULTRA NEO streamer and PSA Directstream DAC.
The UD came pre-configured for the DAC from SONORE.
The L & R are swapped ?!!

I assume you tried both of them off too??? I think I have all switches off, don’t remember for sure, and my test disc shows proper channel orientation for both PCM and DSD. I’m pretty sure there is another “recommended” switch settings for the DSD out there. Might want to reach out to Jesus.

Switching both SW6 and SW7 OFF indeed swapped the channels back.
BUT now I’m out-of-phase. What’s strange though is that switching phase on the DS doesn’t help. I played with ROON parametric EQ and apparently switching phase on only one of the channels corrects this ?! but that requires activating ROON DSP and degradation of SQ.
Any clue which UD SW I should try now to fix this ?
