I spent a few hours tweaking the UD. Here are the findings that I hope would be useful to others and save time and frustration.
The SoTM streamer has opposite L&R channels than the SONORE defaults, so SW6=OFF swaps back the DSD channels, and SW7=ON swaps the PCM ones.
SW=8 controls the phase, but it has a different effect depending on the other two and that’s very confusing and threw me off in the beginning.
The DS DAC own phase control becomes ineffective when using I2S.
Evidently, when using the UD it’s important to have tracks for checking channels and phase in both DSD and PCM.
According to the Sonore documentation for the UD, for PS Audio, all switches should be OFF, except for SW 7 & 8. DIP SW settings
