I bet the sound will give away the location of the “hidden” speaker!
I expected it to look similar to a Magnepan, not this:

That speaker will be a pain in the ass to assemble!
They do have some pre-assembled and semi-assembled items. This could be one of them.
Maybe not for me, thanks. Not the bedside table lamp masquerading as a speaker, either.
I’ve had my Avalons for about twenty years now and I never get tired of seeing (or hearing) them. The last thing I want to do is hide them.
For many people big boxes with thick wires on the living room floor is not such an attractive idea so good for them. Not exactly a new idea to have speakers that can be hung on the walls or be otherwise hidden. Look forward for a video of Danny from GR-Research taking them into pieces
Not necessarily. To be acceptable in a period room I have enormous transmission line speakers lying on their sides in window alcoves, covered with light drapes and with squab cushions so that they can double as bench seats. The drapes are lifted for serious listening but remain in place for background music. A game I play is to ask guests where the speakers are. Nobody has ever correctly located them.
Sonos and Ikea make transmission line speakers?
