So, I have read, have posted, have posited? what does the mythical wide soundstage sound like? Is it real and does it really happen? In my setup I have experienced a shimmer to right some bongos to the left etc, but never where I felt their existed a center channel (which I have achieved perfectly,) but also instruments pouring out from the left or right until now. But still my set is good and I am herring full room feeling sound. No complaints. Always hopeful, however.
Some background. I created a room just for music but couldn’t solve the fundamental problem of left and right so my left channel is only about a foot from left wall, but right channel has ten feet to spare. I have panels up and even some carpeting. My speakers are the KEK R3 meta which for me are extraordinary and they are driven by the Peachtree Carina 150. I have the Volumio RiVO streamer which is darn good for my budget. I do have some DSP which allows me to center the channel and perfectly with the limitations of my room.
We got home from a long trip and, as this is also our attic, I threw a whole bunch of empty luggage up again the wall on the right side of the right R3meta. And then it happened. WTF?
I was listening to this jazz song, and suddenly this huge sax, which is awesome, came blasting out, but my goodness, it was 5 feet from the right of the speaker. It was biblical. WTF Mind blowing after three Bourbons.
Thank you Paul, and I have bought several of your products, The Sprout100 and many albums, and the forum for educating on a possibility that I realized.
