Just got back from the SouthWest Audio Fest 2025 - Dallas.
Lots of fun rooms to hear some great music.
Had to go to the EMM Labs Room, since I am selling their products now.
Had a long chat with Amadeus Meitner about their products and my lust to obtain the new MTRX2 mono amps - Really nice guy!

Also had to check out the MBL Room showing off their MBL Extreme speakers.
Kinda disappointed in the sound. Maybe not set up properly for that hotel room, but I thought my MBL101 speakers actually sound a lot better!
Looking through their new catalog, my 101E speakers now retail for $91K and the Extremes $444K - Yow!
Synergistic Research Room had a great system setup with Magico/McIntosh, showing off their new ultra$$$ power conditioner and all their products. Sounded great.

The Zellaton/Soulution Room was my favorite of all the rooms I visited…

***Also to note, no Stealth Audio cables anywhere???

It was definitely the hotel room. I’ve had the chance to hear the extremes and the 101’s in the same room and after Jeremy set the extremes up and spent hours if not days dialing them in the extremes where significantly better imo.

No doubt. I can’t say the room I heard the extremes in was ideal. But I did hear the 101’s in that room first. They are both phenomenal but the extremes are extreme in every way possible. I got a small sample of everything but once you hear a symphony on the extremes it’s very very special. The closest one can get to being in orchestra hall.

Remember my 101E’s are supplemented with (2) REL 212 subs, which bring them closer to the Xtremes.
