Stacking DWM bass panels

I posted something about considering this a while ago. I finally began the real work to make it happen. I have Magnepan 3.7Xs and a pair of DWM bass panels. I asked my dealer if it was possible to stack DWMs. He said, “Yes, it can be done.” Right now I have the 3.7Xs being powered by my M1200s and the DWMs are powered by going thru a digital processer and into a S300. The dealer emailed me and said the second set of DWMs had arrived. For one reason or another, I hadn’t completed the stands to stack them. Finally, yesterday, I got started. It’s been 98 degrees in the woodshop so plenty of breaks and water. Here’s what I have so far. The cad picture is what the completed stands will look like to stack the bass panels. The other pictures are the cherry lumber. The picture of the 4 bases are for the 3.7Xs and the bottom of the DWM stand. I’m making new ones for the 3.7Xs because my old 3.7is had a darker cherry stain than the new ones. I made custom cherry stands for them years ago. I’m going to replace them with something that is closer to a color match. Why? Why not. I expect to have this wrapped up in a couple weeks to a month. I’ll report back then on whether it was all worth it.
