I just received my stellar dac and had connected it to the airlens via a standard hdmi cord and the dac wouldn’t turn on. When I unplugged the cable the dac turned on. While it was on i plugged the cable back in and get nothing but static and white noise. When I turned the dac off and back on it wouldn’t turn on again until I removed the cable. Did this with three separate brands of cable with same results. Does anybody know of a brand that works. BTW while connecting through coax it sounds great and works with no problems.
We need somebody to help us desperately. Right now just cables from Amazon.

Hello JPCZCC, There is no single standard for I2S HDMI cables. Use an I2S cable specified to work with the PS Audio - Jay’s Audio standard. A superior cable (both in terms of SQ and customer service) is Tubulus Concentus V.2. It is made in Holland, and changed everything in my system. You can find them on internet. Not cheap. But if you wanted cheap you would not have purchased a Stellar DAC. You wanted sound quality. Tubulus Concentus V.2 will let you hear all of that quality sound, as it has for me. Last, with I2S cables, don’t go over about .76 meters in length. Good luck. -JASinPhila.
Sounds good. Even through the coax it sounds better than the bifrost 2 geshelli j2s with staccato op amp upgrade. Sounds more like a hiend room at the ces show. Waiting for Paul to get back about the hdmi issue.
One quick update. Through the static i can hear the music playing.
