STEALTH Power Cords

Why not the new Gold?

Had you previously used a Dragon for MU2? What differences, or rather advantages, can you describe with your words? I’m asking for a friend who is using a Dragon Source for his Marantz Link 10n at the moment. Not for me, because, like Donald, I just wanted to listen to music and get rid of my audiophile addiction. :joy: Greetings Andreas

Yes, I had the Dragon on the MU2. Pick any audiophile adjective you want, I heard improvement in all areas, no noticeable downsides.
Note that this bump was not as great with the same cable on a cd player. In addition, the improvements were less striking with upgrading from the Dragon to Stealth Dream 20-20 on amps and PowerZone.
My generalized opinion is if you can swing it, get Stealth power cords, especially for sources.
Luca has taken a deeper dive on multiple Stealth cords if you want a more in-depth analysis. He might give you the analysis you desire.

Why not the Bacch?

I only have one.

Tsk, tsk.

Joining a bit late in this topic. Is it that I’m really shy? It never struck me…

I’m in the entry league here with a v.10 to my MK2 and av.16 to my P20. Both clear upgrades to the Dragons.

Guess I will have to do without the stock market to stock some more Stealths behind my rig.

Wouldn’t it benefit the Bacch if that’s the Dac you are using? Just curious. I know your other cables are more than capable.

My experience does not comply with the AQ recommendation, but I listen to my ears more than anything else.

AQ Dragon Source does not reveal the best of MU2, I continued to like AQ Dragon HC for MU2 better. The more I listen to MU2 with Dragon HC, the more I like it better. The Source restricted everything and made the bass like a wimp!

But my current favorite is Snake River Audio Takshaka because it brought warmness and fullness. It must have something to do with the gold content in it

For you cost-no-object guys the Stealth Gold is the one to get, I bet.

Best cables on Source. Or so they say. An argument could be made for either location. I don’t believe in fancy power cables so I will keep my $15K power cable where it is. Bacch may be the better place. But I don’t care.

I have my new Auva Footers underneath the feet of my PowerZone as of a few minutes ago. Special feet day!!! Thanks Greg!!!

Update: My system is as nice as ever. What should I listen for to hear the difference, PZ with and without feet? Foot stomping music I suppose. I did shake them. Hmmmmm.

What I heard was the ability for the PZ to do more of what it does best. Music sounded settled and a slight increase in a sense of space and air. Note my PZ resides on the bottom shelf of an old and tired Target rack resting on a 125 year old suspended oak floor. Likely more opportunity for improvement in such an install.

You have a very high end rack with vibration control so your results may not be as audible as others results.

Just arrived the new Cloude Grande LE, let’s go play some albums…

I have a treasure chest of Stealth power cables to evaluate. Compliments of @straightwire thank you! @aangen warned me this is not a good idea on my part but I need to do this in the name of science. Lol

You have good friends indeed!

Which components and cords are you planning to test?

First and foremost, fantastic audiophile friends here! The best! There are four stealth cables I have for 10 days.

1-Stealth 2020 20a for powerzone
Currently using Stealth Dream V16

2-Steath 2020 15a for Gryphon Diablo 300
Currently using Gryphon Vanta

3-Stealth Cloude Grande 15a for Grimm MU1
Currently using Audioquest Dragon Source

4-Stealth Cloude Grande 15a for Gryphon Ethos DAC/CD player
Currently using Gryphon Vanta

I will report findings.

Perfect match, can’t wait to read your comments!

Looking forward to your findings, Paul!

Why did I check this thread again? I will block it for the next 6 months. My upgrade this year will be NOTHING, and instead the funds go to:

  1. Younger daughter decides to take more MS classes so her graduation will be Spring 2026. I am paying for everything for her Grad. school of course.
  2. a big income tax bill is coming as a result of selling too many stocks to upgrade audio last year
  3. A big property tax bill is coming
  4. Two more vacations planned by my wife that will cost two D333, or more.

Well, I will just play with cheap tweak for the remainder of this year.

It all sounds very painful. It may be time for forum hibernation. By the time you come back there will be better fuses, cables, footers, and power products all waiting for your deep dive.
