The technics TT doesn’t use the DIN connector that Cardas phono cables like so well.

I’m still not sure the SPP does anything to give a truly balanced output if it only takes RCA in. How could it?

Many turntables do not have a DIN connector. When you send the tonearm for re-wiring they do a full run, from cartridge to phono preamp. See this page and the other models at the bottom of the page.


Email them asking if they can do your specific tonearm. Alternatively, Origin Live does Technics upgrades, you can check with them, but they’re a tad costly.

Do you (anyone) turn off your SPP? Stand-by only? It has an interesting lighting effect in standby at night. Ha!

Lol, yes it does and the blue LED lights have a function they say. The BHK pre and the M700 have red LED lights on the left hand side. The BHK lights stay on until the capacitors lose their charge, which is a good warning when replacing / rotating tubes.
