I have a stellar strata, been trying to get streaming on it to work for a long time now. About the only thing that works is spotify from my phone.
I use pfsense as my firewall & router. I have pimd installed, so that my protected network can see the entertainment network. The roku and my yamaha receiver both show up on the entertainment network, but the strata only shows up once in a blue moon. I have the latest firmware installed.
Anyone here have any tips on getting the strata to reliably appear on my network?
A specific rule for the (fixed) IP address of the Strata not help?
I haven’t used pfsense for about 5 years and didn’t use pimd so apologies for the obvious suggestion
I appreciate it should “just work” with dynamic IPs, but, ya know, sometimes stuff just doesn’t…
…another thing to try of course is a packet sniffer (tcpdump if you are feeling brave and can quiesce the rest of the network)
Which app are you using to discover the Strata and play your music? Mine has been pretty reliable using the WiiM Home app. No problems discovering the Strata and it easily integrates Amazon Music Unlimited.
Sorry if you need help with the actual networking. Not my strong point.
