@senna1a, you may enjoy this as well I picked it up from Craft Recordings, nice clean sounding Monk, with maybe a touch too much reverb. Still recommended on vinyl, in glorious mono:

@senna1a, one more I picked up from Craft Recordings that you may enjoy. It features the first recording of a young Joe Zawinul on the Cannonball Adderley Sextet In New York. This is a Village Vanguard live date featuring Julian, Nate, Yusef Lateef, Sam Jones and Louis Hayes. Check out Zawinul’s soulful piano work on Nat’s Gemini.

I like this. It’s not Joe’s first recording though. He recorded as a leader about 3 years before, and this was his second with Cannonball. What composer and player!
And what album would that be, as that would be most helpful? My source was:

He recorded an LP for Strand in '59 as leader (and recorded as a sideman before that in Europe beginning in '56), and the first with Cannonball was the album with Nancy Wilson. (Unfortunately there’s lots of sloppy information on the web).
Spectacular performance. One of Sadao’s best. All six tracks are good material.
