Yes that’s how I understood the 3 passes. There can be warps like that. I just wanted to say most records just need 1 run. And if you have a flattener, you even flatten minimal warps so that each record can be clamped to the platter like vacuum sucked down
One of my most memorable experiences was New Years Eve 1983. Ted Curson leading a trio in a small club in Bayonne. He played for four hours. A true talent. This 1979 recording is recent to me, really tasty. Ray Drummond and Roy Haynes.
Some fine guitar work courtesy of Jeff Parker available on Qobuz as
International Anthem @ Public Records (Volume 5)
I just finished listening to Mario Adnet’s Adventure Music cd “Jobim Jazz”–a favorite.
Now on to another, older favorite, on ECM, “Standards Live” by the Keith Jarrett Trio.

Uri Caine Trio Live at the Village Vanguard, with Drew Gress, and Ben Perowsky on an OG Winter & Winter CD. I sure do enjoy the OG Winter & Winter CDs, kludgy CD holder and all. Exceptional performance BTW.
I knew him and his brother, Wilber!
Donald Byrd Blackjack, some excellent Donald Byrd offered up on this 2022 UHQCD reissue.
Paul Giallorenzo Pg3 IHF & tD , with Ingebrigt Haker-Flaten, and Tim Daiy. A fine post-bop piano trio date from August 2007. Good sound to boot!
That and “Play with space”. M. Davis.
If only improvising soloists could adopt playing with space.
Density has its place, as does space. Of all the various instrumentalists iI find drummers need to pay more attention to providing for a sense of space. Hamid Drake immediately comes to mind as a supreme example of finding the correct balance within an improvisational context. As far as reeds both Roscoe Mitchell and Anthony Braxton get it.
That said, energy, drive and density do have there place, and Pharoah Sanders as well as later John Coltrane exemplify that form supremely.
A 1984 session released in 1998 on Nimbus West CD, featuring Horace Tapscott, Fred Hopkins, and Ben Riley. Dissent or Descent is an exceptional Horace Tapscott Trio date!
One of these things is not like the other. . .

Miles Davis “We Want Miles” Sony 2 cd set
How do you like it? Frequent Milwaukee’s oldest active watering hole on Tuesdays just to hear this Trio. Unfortunately the Tuesday performance tradition is no more. BlueStem Jazz had a role in getting the Trio recorded.
Really enjoyed this, only familiar with Russ Johnson, and I am basically grabbing anything that he is part of.
