Excellent 2nd album on Blue Note.

I listened to this and posted this a few days ago. Her Blue Note debut “12 Stars” is also really good.

Returning to this fine MIYUMI Project compilation double LP on the FPE label. Lead by Chicago based bassist Tatsu Aoki. I won’t go into all the featured players, but special mention afforded to Avreeayl Ra, Mwata Bowden, and Ed Wilkerson. This compilation has an excellent vibe. The tracks And They Came For Us, KIller E, and An Eye Opener For Angels stand-out.

And Then They Came For Us, The Miyumi Project CD released 2017 on Asian Improv Records.

Was playing Jackie, and reminded of Rene. This delightful outing from 1975 is worth a listen. Saw him during this period with Woody Shaw. You can just imagine…

part II: this is the recording that Woody was touring. Steve Turre, Cecil McBee, Victor Lewis, and Rene McLean. Beautiful.

I enjoy these as well as the Woody Shaw and Rene McLean Sextet Watch Out.
