Free Jazz saxophonist Binker Golding hailingg from London in a trio format on Moon Day featuring bassist John Edwards and drummer Steve Noble. Some fine interplay with this trio.

What great playing. This was Joe Pass at his best.
But there should be a warning on the cover–and label. Do not raise volume to comfortable levels when you first start listening. Because when Dizzy comes in, it’s so preposterously loud that it will startle you and send the cat flying out of the room–or up your pant leg.
On Tanga, somebody–certainly not Mickey Roker, starts banging, not perfectly in time, what sounds like the spiked side of a meat tenderizer on a giant can of Spam----and that’s recorded at ridiculous volume. Very weird.

The other Big 4.
An album, cover to cover full of top level performances.
Superb sound quality, if you’re into that sort of thing.

After listening to The Natural Soul, the tracks That’s All and Nice 'N Greasy led to Here 'Tis.

The sound of Detroit post April 4,1968. A stark contrast to the greasy soul jazz of Lou Donaldson Hammond B3 and guitar oriented sound. Listening to the 2001 Strata East LP reissue. Originall recording November 26 & 27, 1973, sweetened in January 1975. The original Strata East release June, 1975.

Excellent album. I really like Donald Byrd’s style and tone.
Lot’s of airiness in this record. Tone Poet.

It is a fine reissue originally on the Transition label IIRC.
The Doug Watkins Watkins at Large is also very good on Tone Poet.

“Byrd Blows on Beacon Hill” is also a good Byrd album on Transition.
