YES!

I’m thinking about rear-wall treatment. Trying to visualize what might work well and look the part.

I have the .7, and I would say 2 feet is quite a comprise. After playing with different distances, I settled at close to 5 feet away from the back wall and the sound just opened up a great deal more and I started to understand the “transparency” that I seldom hear from other speakers that I’ve owned.

I made a few changes. Installed one owner Wilson Audio Watt/Puppy’s in 5.1 version. I installed a Crystal Cables HDMI from the Matrix into I2S DSD and I upgraded to a higher version Siltech speaker cable. It took all day to unpack them, install casters buff and wax. I Restored the crates to good condition by removing crappy nails with screws so that I can load these easily next time. Now to break in the cables and then sit back until the next change.

@watchdog507 what are those tube amps doing? Are you driving the Wilsons active? Like the BHK’s for the bass and the tube amps for the mid/high.

The big tubes are a WOO WA5-LE, my headphone amp.

Nice. Squeezelite stable for you?

Yes, seems to have improved a lot. If you’re leaping around the playlist then I press pause before jumping a lot of tracks. Innuos firmware 1.4.4 is due for release and allegedly has no glitches with Roon 1.7.

Wow @brett66 That is a seriously nice space!

Especially fond of that table, it’s really beautifully done, nice finish.

I love it when people sponsor our local economy. Nice Pink Faun server.
What speakers are those you have?

Read the sentence above your post.

@brett66 A fabulous job, well done. I love the airplane photo.

Beautiful room and set up!
May I ask, what are the absorbent panels and diffuser?

Thanks, collaborative effort with my wife

The fabric print on the wall is 2" of rock wool in a frame I made and printed the fabric at Spoonflower - photo is Ford Tri-motor hanging at the San Diego Air and Space Museum.

The panels left and right behind speakers are from GIK Acoutics, 2" x 2’ x 4’ and the center has foam ‘diffusers’ (probably better absorbers) from eBay - Ukraine or some other Euro country that makes injection molded foam.

I painted them with some satin latex paint. I store it all in the front coat closet and bring them out when I’m alone listening ‘seriously’.

We live in Japan, so small room, small speakers. Buut, great sound!
Little Dali Menuets, stellar S300 and the Stellar pre amp. I have two other systems, but that’s for later.
Near field listening for the win!
