Having to put them down are hard days indeed. I live in the country so have always had GSP’s and had a place for them to run which they certainly need to do every day to feel they are earning their keep. Is the spotted dog an English Setter? Nice looking pair.
Blue lights made them sleep …
and PS audio lost the competition - some lovely dogs…
Yes, she is a Llewelyn setter. She is gun shy, so all she hunts are leaves, butterflies and squirrels. Her litter mates made so great hunters though. Most of them are champions in the games they played.
I have a DS Sr. on order as part of my berevment therapy.
It will most certainly help. This PSA gear is really well made and does tend to melt time away nicely.
Being gun shy isn’t a problem at all. They are still fun to watch hunt anything from toys to squirrels and since we don’t need to kill our own food anymore it is just sport anyway. My current GSP loves to hunt and is really good at it but I don’t have the same interest as I did 50 years ago. He’s a really good companion however. Back to the topic at hand.
It is the P1 pro and I absolutely love the amp. It is nicely transparent and even handed. The amp gives up nothing and brings everything an amp needs. No nonsense build quality with two separate transformers. I also like the bespoke binding post that let you use a flat head screw driver to tighten. It would be hard to select another amplifier above it unless I was going for more drama. I will likely upgrade to the P2 at some point.
It is and they work flawlessly. I have had them for maybe 5 years now and they always work. It’s a shame they do not sell them anymore as it is a great solution and reliable to boot. I run them both off a Wyred4sound linear power supply for a clean look.
Neumann’s Midrange Dome let us remember the 80s or let us think about some ATC Models. In fact the transient response of a Dome is normally faster than that of a Conus. Well, there may be some exceptions, for instance with Görlich Podszus Zellaton Drivers. But I like these fast responding drivers in the High- and Midrange. Even a very (super-) light Görlich Podszus Mid-Bass-Conus-Driver does a very good job within a Symphonic Line RG 5 two-way-speaker …
I really enjoy the live-like performance and high resolution of PS Audio’s combination of DMP and DSD. Neumann’s studio monitors, KH 420, do their best in giving that sound through the speakers without adding or reducing anything …
Best Regards,
Frank
My favorite monitor speaker of all time is The a/d/s CM7. It also used a dome midrange. Used to setup a pair with a Levinson stack and a Velodyne ULD 15 and blow customers’ minds. The wife acceptance factor was high also.
Yes - both SH. The old one is solid chocolate brown with small white patch on chest. She could be sound asleep somewhere in the house and by the time I’ve played a a few bars of music she is there beside me.
Its funny how those dogs have only two speeds. Idle and full throttle. Our latest one sleeps at least 12 hours then I swear he could run full speed for the other 12 if he had the chance.
I know nothing about dogs, but I remember my aunt, who had dogs and cats, used to exercise one of th big ones by tying it to the rear bumper when she went shopping.
More people than you realize exercise their hunting dogs that way. Coon hounds maybe more than others. If my Shorthaired Pointer doesn’t get at least a half hour of exercise a day he will definitely get in trouble.
I was trying to think of classical music involving dogs, and you reminded me of this one.
Can’t think of any others
I’m trying to find it on Tidal. Thanks!
I have a rip of the Hunt Cantata from one of my wife’s CDs by Barbara Hendricks.
It took a while but I found it on Tidal.
At least you weren’t barking up the wrong tree.
Thanks
for the Super NES
