Anyone here planning on going. I see PS Audio listed as vendor as well.
christmas wish, PSA comes to Florida Audio Expo Feb 2026
You mean the one in New Jersey? That one?
I had already made my plans for CAF, so I’m going to that one. These two are too close together and too close regionally, IMO. OTOH, last year’s CAF seemed to me to be a bit on the decline, so if this one shows well I’ll go to it next year - as long as I can bunk at Ron’s!
@RonP?
(I kid, of course.)
Looking forward to CAF.
I’ll be at both NJ/”NYC” T.H.E. Show with Orchard Audio/Soundfield Audio and at CAF in the SVS/Orchard Audio Dolby Atmos Room where I’ll be co-hosting with Larry from SVS. I’ll be “spinning” several Atmos music only BluRays & MKV files and Larry will be doing Movie Demos’ Leo from Orchard will be on hand to field any questions about his GaN FET Amps that will be used to power ALL the Speakers.
I’ll be there on setup day and the morning of the first day.
Will be there, likely Saturday.
I may be going on Saturday. I will decide in the next couple of days.
Is there any info on what PSAudio will be displaying?
So I bit the bullet and got tickets. I plan to be at the show on Saturday, with my son. If anyone is going and wants to meet up, let me know.
For those who attended, first day report please. ![]()
Sorry long day. 3 hour drive each way about. Came home to sick wife so you know how that goes.
the show was fun. Met someone interesting
He had to leave for a noon flight but I got there just in time to met up.
First off all the vendors who were not on the ground floor in the bigger conference rooms all complained about room size. 11x15 was the size. Guess they were told differently. So given that some of the setups struggled with only a day to set up. Since I only was attending the one day I did not have a ton time nor did I really have a plan. Just got in car and drove there.
PSAudio had two rooms. One with the usual stack PMGs,P20, and the FR20 Bi Amped with 4 1200 amps. They weee probably a bit much again for the room but they did a good job setting up. Bass got a bit boomy as expected but over all I was super impressed with them. Clean and smooth with really good bass. I think I could be very happy the 20’s and not miss the 30’s which I heard a few weeks ago in CO.
The FR5 room i was sort of disappointed I just wanted to hear them but it was the synergistic room and he would only play his choices and in demos of the room tweaks like black box and some stick with balls called Orbitron I think Looked like two small orgasmitrons from the the movie sleeper mounted on a stick. Anyway he kept doing small snipets of weird samples to show off his stuff and take it out put it back in etc. I just wanted to listen to stuff I knew.
I listened to the new Audience full range speakers. Sorry no idea on model. They come with powered sub and built in room correction of their making. Funny they call it ARC. Wonder if paradigm will have issue. They sounded pretty good as well. They only had spinning discs to choose from so it was hard to compare as I did not have my choice. They had two proprietary tweeters covering different ranges and one midrange with the powered sub. I wanted to say $38k Had cool chat with rep on all things room correction including HT as he worked for STORM audio in past job.
There were a few esoteric speakers I just did not get and left. Sorry no names I did not take notes.
Went into the Techniques room hoping to hear some good turntables but there was some guy hogging all the time with reps trying to become a dealer. I and one other sat down for 5 min and were ignored so I moved on. My buddy has a 1300G so I know how it sounds. But just was curious and disappointed.
VSA had their normal big room set up. First time for me to hear. I liked it. But I should for the cost of the set up. Each sub is like 20k (cancellation subs in rear of room) plus speakers are like 300k or something really crazy like that. Amps were ones never heard of. Albert jr was there nice chat with him.
Legacy had 3 setups. Nobody manning ships even though they had 4 people working there. Two of the rooms were not working. Wi-Fi issues. Oh well. I helped myself to run the room with the Air’s in them. Playlist running so I just skipped until I got something I liked.
But master had the new 232 but not running. Sad. The room running had the full stack and sounded clean and accurate. But. Nothing grabbed me. Could have been the music. Not my choice. Did not seem like the room you could ask to change it so I did not. But sounded really good.
Popouri was up next. They worked in the room. The fellow who had the YouTube video here had his setup with the distributor hosting. MKII with APS. He could use the foam backing to get closer to front wall. Showed off versatility and he talked about their design and such. Sad but no BACCH. I could see getting these especially if I head down the BACCH path
My favorite room was the Acora room hosted by PA dealer Now Hear This I think
I know it had a ton of expensive electronics in front of it but these sounded fantastic to me. 15999 list price (not in that light up stone). Inspent much time I. This room and chatting with the owner of the company. Told him how much I love my ARC pre too.
that’s about all I can remember. But overall compared to other shows I think it seemed small. It was not the greatest venue. But I think the best times chattnn in g with all the industry guys and getting their viewpoints t and design aspects. Well worth the $100. Especially if I used my pass for the other three days. I paid for the vip to get in Early and it came with all theee days over a one day pass.
this one kit below was $800 not including the $150 Amazon stands on some Fioscheap amp I was super impressed with sound local Jersey guy. He was a riot
That FR20 room looks to be totally inadequate for that system.
I am surprised it sounded good at all.
Thanks for the report.
Brian, in the VSA room you heard the VR30, which are about $60K the pair. And Albert jr. is Damon.

And thanks for the report! Hope your wife gets better soon!
The ones in the Picture I thought were the Ultra 7? With subs over 200k. They had two setups one was off. This one was live.
Yes It was tight but it still sounded pretty good. Big bass hits def went on the big boomy side. Soundstage was limited as well due to width.
Thank you soon much for that show wrap-up. It’s really hard to get a true reading on things given the time you had and the constraints in the demo rooms, but you gave it your all. Often the best stuff is just the people you meet and the insights they can bring. Take care of your wife.
Apologies! You are correct. Those are the 7s. The 30s are in the “cheap room”. ![]()
