Eric’s reply video. Hard to believe it has ~10,000 views already.
It is certainly an instantaneous information relay society.

He seems to have an unusual and unique view of litigation and lawyers…not to mention the expense … 20 minutes to resolution ?
Great idea. Done.
Seeing as it was started by me under (unknown at the time) false pretenses I will see if I can just delete it entirely.
An odd use of the term “litigation”, but this is indeed something that should and could be resolved with a very brief phone call.
There is no need to delete the thread nor any post contained therein.
The controversy is appropriately of interest.
Good enough.
I was trying to relay a news item but it was obviously already blown way out of proportion by the time I saw it.
This being here is ok from my view. The “issue” was resolved with Erin and all is good on that front. The other reviewer, whom will not be mentioned, has many followers that have unleashed a furry of negativity on youtube toward Eric. I will now make sure to stop by Tekton’s room to show support for Eric, and I do not even know what his speakers sound like.
Which is in no way your fault.
You acted in good faith at all times and I, for one, appreciate your efforts in bringing this to our attention, and being as fair and as transparent as possible.
As humans we are really not ready for this type of communication yet as it is very difficult to get the true feeling of context and intent.
At least with face to face or even a phone call the context and intent become immediately clear.
He is a true advocate of affordable quality sound and is a professional drummer (I think).
I have owned a couple of pair of his speakers and chatted with him a couple of times.
For the money spent they are hard to beat. Very simple cabinetry and able to be placed relatively close to the wall.
The larger designs are simply too big for smaller rooms but do sound good.
Gotta step out for a while.
write a review and if they don’t like it, they want to talk to your lawyer…merely $500/hour, perhaps much more, will cost you. eg, 5 hours, $2,500, to defend your honest NON-Malicious review
their lawyer would likely present a threat of some sort
just a friendly lawyer chat! his intention is “to use lawyers…not all lawyers are bad apples”, and put a leash on reviewers
In the big scheme of things…why should I even care about the crybabies of the world….
Suck it up and move on!
Eric’s claim is that the MEASUREMENTS performed by the reviewers are incorrect, that his speakers are different kind of speakers and need to be measured appropriately. One reviewer reportedly refuses to remeasure in what Eric calls the proper way, and hence the situation escalated.
I wouldn’t say refused to. The “proper way” according to Tekton was from woofer axis instead of tweeter, which is the convention. The Klippel already did this by measuring basically every axis and the user can simply tell the software to report any axis they wanted. This was done and difference between tweeter and woofer was small, even worse from the woofer if I understand correctly.
His explanation/excuse is that he is really ok because he didn’t sue anyone, he only twice threatened litigation…
according to Eric’s 20 minute resolution statement, he could have called Erin himself and resolved it in less time than it took to do the video…
The issue with Erin is resolved, where Erin agrees to remeasure the speakers. The other issue is, i believe, still not resolved, where one is reportedly still refusing to remeasure.
