That person serms to have a quick turn around on speakers.
But for someone that wants a good price on the very nice FR20, that seems like a good deal. One thing for certain, I plan on keeping my FR20’s for a long, long time.

Just reminding everyone how wonderful the FR20’s are.
I could use all sorts of descriptors, but will limit my comments to clean, open, musical.
And by far one of the best audio purchases I have made.
Does Conrad Johnson make speakers?
Bill Conrad & Lew Johnson actually did make some speakers over 30 years ago. And no, am not going to buy a used pair of speakers, lol.
But I do like their GAT preamp
Ribbon tweeters, cool.
But not even remotely tempted, lol.
I vaguely remember hearing them, and wasn’t all that impressed.
cj shines with tubes, and I’ll leave it at that.
The older, syrupy tubes work nicely with the FR20, but the newer non-syrupy tubes & the FR20 are a match made in heaven.
Which tubes would you consider syrupy? I found the low level Ediswan and Matsushita 7dJ8 tubes to be especially fine in my Audible Illusions Modulus 3/3A preamplifiers lacking any edginess.
The older, classic Conrad Johnson, like the PV series. They do sound great, but can be criticized for being syrupy.
I do recall that sound. Came in handy with early digital. Ha!
There is a pair of the FR20 at TMR available. I have a gut feeling it will not last long.
(in case anyone is wondering, no, my FR20 speakers are not for sale)
Sold! (No not to me, I already have a pair …)
With the borrowed MU2 DAC to go with the CJ GAT-S2 preamp, and Levinson 5302 amp, am finally doing the FR20’s justice with a front end they deserve. The FR20’s keep getting better with each improved component in the system. The flat panel ribbon midrange and tweeter continue to open up. I put the Magnepan LRS+ in the room temporarily again as a baseline comparison, and while the LRS+ are also sounding better with each improved component, the FR20’s flat panel ribbons are just so much better. Happy!
You are certainly having fun!
Nice! I see a nice black P20 in your future!
