I think it only showed up a few days ago. Hopefully Grimm will get back to me.
I guess I have never paid attention to that aspect of the screen. Iāll take a look tonight. Could be a result of Roon settings. Those you can change.
With the MU1 you had controls to change how it does things. All those controls are absent on the MU2. But Roon itself lets you choose 16/24/32 bits. You may have selected 32 bits in Roon. That isnāt a bad thing at all. You may have done it and forgotten about it?
Here is a shot of my settings in Roon for the MU2:
I have mine set to 32 bits.
For whatever reason, my Roon subscription does not allow me to do these adjustments. Under Audio setup, the Advance menu has nothing in it.
The SQ is no different than before, so I will stay with it.
That makes zero sense to me. I click on settings, Audio, search for the MU2, click on it, click on settings, click on show advanced which shows nothing until I scroll down.
Iām at lost too, Iāll check tomorrow.
You could call me and we can try it together.
Maybe Donaldās wife turned on the child protection setting in his Roon?
Thanks Al! Thereās something wrong with my Roon App. For example, the dot above progress line is supposed to be green color. Mine has always been grey, and I cannot click it since day one. I need to dig into Roon to find out the issue.
Not sure what that is, but it came up on search.
Also was there something in roon you did when you had the Lumin? I know with MQA and such people did funny things in settings.
Iām a dummy and donāt play with many features in Roon. So a Roon user told me I need to play music to use the āgreen dotā. For sure I can find those audio adjustments once the music is onšŗš»
This applies to running Roon from your computer / laptop. Not from a dedicated server apparently, as I canāt find those options proposed in Roon when looking for themā¦
You are right, on my iPad I could not find it either.
I hit a snag again. I was able to go into Audio setup during music playback and changed the setting to 24 from 32 in Roon App. Now when I tried it again by hitting green dot and hit device setup. The music would stop, and no audio adjustments could be made (nothing showed up in Advanced). It is strange that I could do it earlier. I will try it later again.
Huge sigh. You could call me.
It was a great conversation with you! Thanks for all the help, again!
Donald, I feel for you. I only ever use what is necessary and donāt get too caught up in any programs or settings.
You are not alone and help will be offered to you.
My streaming app isnāt working the way I want it to this evening either.
And as if that wasnāt enough, we also had a brief power outage.
A moment of shock, music off, lights out.
Greetings Andreas
My pleasure my friend!
We get those too frequently. It cooked my P20, which was fixed by PS Audio out of warranty for very nominal sum. Superb service.
But Iām thinking of a battery to complement my solar panels nowā¦
Interview with Eelco Grimm (Darko Podcast)
I have been testing between AQ Dragon HC and Source PC on MU2, and found interesting result:
If you switch between them and listen for a couple of hours or less, Source would always sound better.
If you left each cord in MU2 over one day, HC will win over gradually.
Still, we all have different systems and preferences. But now I like HC with MU2 quite a bit better. However, with the new PowerZone in the system, I may try the same experience later.
Since itās been over 24 hours since the last MU2 post, my MU2 continues to improve, or is it because of the Dragon power cord? or is it because the FR20ās were just reconnected after listening to the LRS+ for a few days?
