Trigger cable preference

Anybody have a trigger cable preference?

Anything that reliably conducts electricity, I’d imagine.

Anything long enough. Cheaper the better.

Hopefully you can find something really expensive. I have often read that the more you pay, the better the sound.

Go Stealth or go home!

I have enjoyed using different color cables so it is easy to trace in and out connections between units. I don’t remember where I bought them, but found using white, black, grey and red were very helpful to ID them in the ā€œdark sideā€ of the rack.

I’ve used these and have experienced zero issues.

Something from Amazon is my brand for trigger cables too.
Roy Roger’s favorite trigger, was Trigger.

I found my 18" at the grocery store, $5-7 for the pair.

I tested $5 trigger cables vs $12 ones, and I am very surprised that I did not hear a difference.

How about using that black magic stuff of yours?

That is a splendid idea, I have one and 1/16 bottle left.

Wait, I don’t have components need trigger wires anymore. I got some free ones if anyone wants them for free plus $99 express shipping and handling fees.

I am not cheap!

I think I use those same ones, @ViperRGD - got them after I had two thinner ones fail on me. They’ve worked perfectly

I did an internet search and couldn’t find any priced over $15. As a result, a little person in me rejoices that perhaps pricey signal, speaker and power cables do have a skosh of validity.

I make my own but never enjoy the experience.

I’m surprised to find that many trigger happy people on this forum!

If you build your own from pure silver wire and teflon insulation you will dramatically improve your soundstage. And hurry, I have only a few bottles of magic oil left, going fast.

Are nitrile gloves and Dawn Ultra included with the magic black oil?

Whichever ones you order make sure they are the two-conductor tip-sleeve type of plug (as opposed to 3-conductor stereo tip-ring-sleeve). This is what I am using – from Amazon – and they work great! Order the length you need.
