Is it possible to get a service manual or a schematic for an old PS Audio 5.0 Preamp? I have been able to get PDF files of the Owners Manual and of an advertising pamphlet from when the preamp was first released but have not found any other documentation on the unit.

Apparently, the 5.0 is the best of vintage PS audio? saw one on ebay, not sure, If I go for it, the last 4.6 has a hum only when I hook digital to it, but I miss so much his sound, expecialy the MC for my TT
anyway, just order a 300B from aliexpress, to have that warm sound back! until my decware phono arrived!
Been wondering about 5.0 support, but today is a different issue an one that I hope won’t get banned by the admins.
Now I have a 5.0 (s/n 452) that I bought new in the 80’s and it has an awesome phono pre, but a year ago it succumbed to a fail with one noisy channel. I’d fix it but my job evaporated and now I am moving overseas so I need to move this device to a new home. I have the power supply (needs new cables - they’re dry rotting) and the original owners manual (photo copy dot matrix in a transparent yellow organiser). I don’t want to discard it and I’m not looking to make a fortune off it either.

I just picked up a very nice 5.0, but do have a 120hz hum in the right channel of the phono stage. The line stage is super clean and quiet.
I am considering a recap to start with. This thing is beautifully constructed and seems to have a dual mono topology with a seriously overbuilt power supply. There are two 17,000uf 40v caps on the main supply rails and local filtering with a total of 20 4,700uf 16v caps at each amplifier stage (plus some misc ones scattered about). Those are all going to go for sure, but will cost a few dollars no doubt.
Did anyone get their hands on a set of schematics for the 5.0? I could sure use them!

if so, just go analog only!
or buy a 2pi cheater and try it on 3pin equipement!
mine did that when going digital!
