I find timbrel reproduction and microdynamics to be by far the most important. If these are correct, everything else falls into place.
I, too, listen to a great deal of solo and small ensembles - violin and piano, string quartets, chamber ensembles. It may be this is why I find subtleties so important.
Has their appearance already grown on you?
I found the massive MM3s uglier than the Giya’s, so its a net improvement. But a big step back from the Avalon’s once installed in the same spot. In fact, the black stains from the leaking Avalon’s on the carpet are still there.
They did not “leak;” like Harleys dripping oil they were simply marking their territory.
Very nice and tidy looking setup! I also like that you have these largish floor-standing speakers flanking a big screen rather than a relatively tiny TV, as I see so often. Happy listening!
