The misspelled thread may be a good name for new record store.
Like Netflix they must be going digital streaming only.
While I appreciated what VMP tried to do, I wasnāt a big fan of their business model. But I thought Iād give them a try and joined, and the first two LPs I bought (one Emmylou Harris, one Gram Parsons) had severe crackling noise during the last tracks on the first side. They made me send them an audio recording of the problem before they would agree to replace them, and the replacements were only slightly better. The third record I bought, āVeckatimestā by Grizzly Bear, had a cover with splits in the cardboard folds. I didnāt even try to get that replaced, but quit the service instead. Between those quality and service issues and the limited selections (the Grizzly Bear album was a shot in the dark, since I didnāt see anything else that month that I wanted; I ended up playing it once), I didnāt see much of a future for them. At least not with me.

VMP - RIP

for a very short period of time they attempted to rectify those quality issues and pressed at a bigger, better plant⦠then they decided that was too expensive and went cheaper again. Some of the records from that short period of time were quite good. The trick is how to tell which are the good ones - I am unsure⦠and not sure I wanna invest the time to figure it out.
