I just tried it on a clean 32 bit non development machine and it worked ok. Is your machine 32 or 64 bit? Did you try the latest that is 19.4 Megabytes?
Dennis
My OS is 64 bit.
I will try the new version when arriving from work.
The latest installed with no errors on Win7 Enterprise 64 bit (at work).
Did it work? Can you run WaveStream.exe? I am starting to think the issue is on 64 bit systems.
Dennis
Sorry, check my Post note above.
Mine is also 64 bit. Windows 7 Home Premium.

There is a new version that should fix the problem. It forces the VC runtime to load on 64 bit.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/wavestreamer/files/Windows/WaveStreamInstall.exe/download

Did you use the one I just posted? Did it install the Run time libraries?

Well back to the drawing board.
If you install BOTH the x64 and x86 packages from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/confirmation.aspx?id=40784
it runs fine. Doesn’t make any sound, but no DLL error messages either.

Funny that is exactly what is in the installer exe
Dennis
For some reason the x86 package isn’t getting installed by your installer, at least in the case of a 64-bit OS.
The missing DLL is the one that belongs in the windows\SysWow64 folder.

Thanks, Dennis
Now we will see if those clamoring for the source will actually do anything with it.
Should we start taking bets?

Yea, I’ll bet a beer that nobody does anything with it. Probably get more takers for eLyric. But neither project is for the faint of heart. Too bad I am not more of a windows guy.

Unfortunately this is my prediction as well.
There is generally a close relationship between the greatest amount of whining and the least amount of productivity.
I’m not a beta tester, just wanna try Wavestream out, but the program doesn’t run and always say its not compatible with windows…
