We also love cars

Our local PCA Chapter (Nord Stern) had an all-Porsche show at a local park. It was packed. Here are some highlights…

Great turn out.

Your car is gorgeous! You must be over the moon.
I must admit that i felt a little weepy seeing the blue '72 coupe. I still regret selling mine.

Thanks, yeah, still in that pinch-me phase.

Obviously, such a different car than the 987.2 Cayman I had last year. So much more refined, and beyond being a great-handling sports car, it’s an absolutely perfect GT car. Just gobbles up the miles. The trip from Austin TX back to MN was a joy.

Bose stereo blows chunks tho. That will be a project for next year. Need to refill the car-fund kitty for upgrades!

Love your car!

This one looks like my old 1967 S (Euro) rally car.

Thanks!

That one above was just recently purchased by the guy who was my driving instructor at the Porsche HPDE day I did last year. Definitely a track monster.

Besides my 991 Turbo S and Subaru Outback, this is our 3rd car “Golf Cart”.

We participate in our neighborhood 4th July Parade every year.
Tanglewood is such a great place to live in Ft Worth (I actually grew up in the same neighborhood)!!

Is that a Delorean just behind the cart, minus the “flux-capacitor”?

Just sold the Mustang to a collector in NC. 2007 with 4500 miles

I can’t think of anything built today that make my heart skip a beat like a 60’s pony car.

Ooo–tell us about the Camaro!

Camaro is a 68 /396
Sad to see the Mustang go. But it will be quieter now. Those two would bicker all night long about whos best.

The early Camaro’s are badass. A good friend had a '67 Z28 and another had a '69 Z28. I worked on another’s who had a '68 SS big block that we put a tunnel ram and a pair of 650’s on. I couldn’t afford anything like that but was able to help with the mechanical work on all 3 . Those were heady times to say the least.

I remember how exotic the sound of solid lifters and tight lobe centers were to me.

Yes the '67 Z28 also came with a 4:88 gear and a set of headers in the trunk to be installed by the dealer.

There was also a “no warranty - not for highway use” sticker on the dash. You could tell if you got a good leave as when you dumped the clutch the glove box door would fly open from the body twist.

We drove the car ~40 miles to the strip, uncapped the headers, put the slicks on and raced it, then put the street tires back on and drove it home on open exhaust.

Knowing nothing about the collector market, 2007 appears to me to be too new to be a collector’s item.

What about the car made it a collector’s car? Is the collector buying the car with the hope it becomes valuable in the future?

1 of 637 in that configuration. 16 years old, 4k miles. He owns Ford dealerships in the south. He is not worried about the money part. Its just a "brand new " 16 year old Shelby.

They are not that expensive. Al has more money in power cables…lol

So more toy than a collectors’ item.

My Z06 is 1 of 1 in its configuration of options. While this makes it rare, it does not make it valuable.

My “toy” brought pretty good money. its probably one of five or less with that low miles. I have never seen another so just guessing others might have them stowed away. Not sure how to define valuable. Good hifi is valuable but typically half of retail used. I made money on this car. To me, that makes it valuable!
